Step away from the busyness of your daily routine to practice the art of mindful living.
In our highly distractible world, it’s normal for life to sometimes feel a little chaotic. We get out of balance and lose our focus on the things that matter most.
Join Laurel for a day designed to help you create a greater sense of well-being in the midst of a busy life.
You will have a unique opportunity to experience a variety of mindfulness practices to cultivate a calm body, open mind and compassionate heart. You will leave feeling relaxed and re-energized.
This one day retreat also coincides with the summer solstice, a sacred turning point marking the longest day of the year. It provides us with an opportunity to reflect on what has happened so far this year, celebrate the abundance in our lives, release what no longer serves us and set clear and powerful intentions for the second half of the year.
First you deserve a day just for you!
There will be a variety of activities including guided reflection, group discussion, and a hands on creative activity as well. We will also be working with nature to create connection and mindful awareness.
While the day is primarily experiential, there will also be time for questions and conversation about how you can cultivate more mindfulness in your daily life.
Mindfulness is the practice of waking up to the present moment and bringing conscious awareness to our experiences. It helps to reduce stress, improve attention, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.
Doesn’t that sound good?
Laurel only hosts one full day retreat each year. Don’t miss the chance to participate in this day of reflection and guided activities on the themes of mindfulness, balance, abundance and intention.
Everyone is welcome! This day of mindfulness is suitable for beginning or experienced mindfulness practitioners. If you are simply curious about mindful living, or are looking for a day of rejuvenation, this event for you.
Here’s what’s included:
- light lunch and snacks
- guided seated meditation
- structured reflection & creative activities
- walking meditation
- introduction to simple mindfulness practices
- opportunities for questions & discussion
