Today’s mindfulness moment…
Maybe you should stop counting your blessings for a moment if you really want to be grateful.
It’s a powerful practice to be mindful of all of the things that are wonderful in our lives.
We should do that every single day.
But we can really deepen that practice by also paying attention to those things we don’t have:
the things we don’t have but also don’t want
There are 2 parts to a gratitude practice:
acknowledging the multitude of blessings that are present in our lives
acknowledging and being grateful for all of the challenges, tragedy and sadness that could be in our lives but aren’t
Dr Suess never steers us wrong.
Take a moment right now, post a comment about what you are grateful to not have.
