Let’s face it.
Bad things happen.
When they do, it’s a natural reaction to focus on the “badness” of what is happening.
We can get pulled into the negativity of the situation. We start asking, “Why?” We look for someone or something to blame.
When our energy and attention go that way, it’s never helpful.
One thing that can help when you are trying to manage a bad situation is to pay attention to your perspective.
Bad stuff happens.
But even worse stuff happens too.
If we can remember in the midst of challenging circumstances that no matter what is happening, things can always be worse, then we can reclaim our personal power to make choices about what to do next.
